Set up a meeting
Hello! I am Erin Trapp, your literacy and Dyslexia specialist.

I use the Barton Reading & Spelling System to help students who struggle with reading due to dyslexia or other learning challenges. I meet with students online, providing an interactive, safe, and positive learning environment.
Hi, I'm Erin Trapp! I am a K-12 teacher, and I completed my BA in Teaching English as a Second Language at Winona State University. My specialties are dyslexia, Literacy, ESL, Spanish, and Early Childhood Development.
What people say
Here are some words from people I have worked with in the past:
My daughter has tried several different approaches to tutoring in the past with minimal success and she would quickly get frustrated. Working with Erin has been fun, engaging and interactive and is helping to build her confidence with reading! I am so glad we decided to give this a try and she is showing significant improvement in reading and spelling! Erin makes learning to read fun with games and a positive creative learning platform to keep my daughter engaged and excited to meet with her! Erin is so patient, caring and kind.
Working with Erin Trapp has been very enriching for our son. He went from a frustrated learner to a confident reader. Erin has been easy to work with, communicative, and has bridged the gap for our son's learning.
We have really enjoyed Erin. My daughter has learned so much and her reading has improved tremendously. I love that Erin puts in the effort to personalize the experience for my daughter, always going above and beyond to find things she is interested in. Erin has been a true blessing for our family and has helped us navigate learning struggles.
Ms. Erin makes hard things fun. She actually gets me to spell right.
I really like Mrs. Erin. She makes me laugh and makes tutoring fun. I am really happy that she is my tutor.
It is so fun tutoring with Erin. I love it! We get to play games and learn to read all in the same thing!
I love tutoring with Erin! You get to play lots of games and you get to make a lot of words and made up words.
Erin consistently displays patience and compassion when working with children. She is engaging and kind while offering a strong sense of accountable structure and support. Erin has a calm tone and a natural ability to make children feel comfortable and safe in her presence. Erin always sees the best in the children that she is working with which offers each individual child the opportunity to grow based on their strengths.
Ms. Erin provided the most loving, supportive, and encouraging atmosphere for our daughter. Her true kindness and generosity, as well as patience shined through every day of preschool with our daughter when she acclimated to a new school and during a pandemic. She has remained a requested staple in our home for many years to provide educational growth and compassionate care.
My daughter Lou took English lessons with Erin for several years, remotely via a screen. We were all delighted (parents and child). Erin is patient, warm, cheerful and generous. Erin managed to break the barrier of the screen.
It's like they're both in the same room. Lou loved her lessons with Erin, and couldn't wait for the next lesson!
A very nice meeting! I recommend her +++
Erin was a very patient and benevolent teacher. I was around 9 when I started and spoke no English. It was such a blessing to have Erin as my first English coach. Erin is kind, listening, and interesting. She was very passionate about her work.
